Hello Everyone,  Sorry I haven't been posting but getting things organized takes a lot of time.  I am so thankful to all my friends and loved ones who have been helping me out and continue to do so.  Our last event was a 4 day at the World Trade Market.  It went very well and we had fun doing it as well.  Met a lot of nice folks!!!  Getting ready to do a party this weekend and that should be as exciting.  I know I have to get better about taking pictures but life is a work in progress just like a great recipe! :)   Everyone take care and take care of each other.  When life is lived even in trying times there is always a horizon to look for!
Helen!!! :)

What a week guys!!!  Ladies sometimes it gets exhausting wearing so many hats and I know you know what I'm saying.  Why is it that you have a plan then the next thing you know plan is out the window because everything in which you have no control over decides to come your way.  I'm pretty flexible but it's been years of this stuff.  The good thing is that this year is more going in the right direction than not.
Anyways as for me when life starts throwing ice storms I go in my kitchen and just start whipping stuff up.  So my new dishes are Mexican and some vegan. Now I say Mexican dishes because Mexican dishes are different than Spanish or Cuban or any other Latin culture.  So I like to honor the culture in which I'm learning.  I get why people choose to eat certain things but I really do like variety.  To me it's finding balance mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.  So enjoy life till next time!  Take Care, Helen :)

Hey there,  Well life's beee busy but a good busy.  Just finished up some menus for an event and preparing for a couple of parties coming up.  I must put in 30 hours and that  doesn't include shopping or cooking.  That just sounds crazy.  I'm hoping everyone who I do events for passes on the word but for now I hope everyone enjoys the food.  Take Care Helen

This week I decided to start playing with sweet potatoes and vegan dishes.  I also made some stuffed peppers which could easily be made vegan or vegetarian.  Oh!  We also finally got together to do our first U-Tube thing.  We learned a lot as we did it.  Take Care Helen

Hello
Tonight I whipped up a Steak with a sesame sauce, sautéed spinach and freshly cut french fries.  When I was in Germany we ate at a resteraunt that served fries with the steak.  I thought it was a bit weird but oh so good.  I have a small dinner party tomorrow night and think i might do the same for them.

Hello to all who love to eat and enjoy life.  I wanted you to get to know me a bit.  I'm afraid I take the pictures so while trying to find pictures of me this is what I came up with.  Even thou my family is half of my life I keep the kids pictures private.  The train ride was with my niece and nephew as well as the Christmas apron they got me and we were making cookies which is always a process because one likes chocolate chip and the other likes my oatmeal cookies.  Hehehehe  kids!                    My girlfriends are wonderful so I thought I would include them:)  I have many friends but these are the most up to date pictures.  Oh!  I keep my clients private as well unless they would say it's ok to post them but I don't ask.  I figure people deserve their privacy.  So until next time.  I'll try and keep you in the loop of things I'm working on like my triple stuffed peppers for my Vegan and Vegetarian friends.  Or my bacon wrapped stuffed peppers with cheese and chorizo.
Take Care
Helen

What Our Clients Are Saying

Recently I attended an event where Aunty Helen's Catering had provided the appetizers. Wow,  all the food was really fresh!  The shrimp, skewered chicken and meat balls were all delicious! There was a great variety and I ate things I would normally never eat - like spinach in a philo?  Sscrumptuous.  And she makes all the sauces and dishes from scratch! Definitely will be calling Aunty Helen for my next party!
